Hello, my name is Ben, but most people refer to me as Nebulon (no one does).
I am doing first year Digital Design at Curtin University, which is basically 2D and 3D animation as well as web and game design, hopefully. I am really into 2D animation, which I mostly use flash for. I have made many movies with it that are on my youtube accounts Ehhhfonzie and GavinMonoxide.
I am really into all that lofi and shoegaze alternative rock, particuarly the band Pavement. I also like all the adult orientated Cartoon Network shows such as Adventure Time, Regular Show and pretty much everything on Adultswim. I hope to someday work on a cartoon similar to those shows.

I have another long holiday ahead of me, but I've managed to fill it with part time jobs and volunteer work and radio presenter courses and all that.
Anyway, I'm sort of working on this big animated gif set for tumblr that is like a sort of Brady Bunch parody thing. I have to animate about 8 individual characters, and each takes 2-3 hours. I'm usually working on these late at night while drinking, but it should hopefully end up looking kind of cool.
Oh yeah, and I'm hoping to get some gigs on RTR fm, playing music and cool stuff.

The first thing I'm going to do before any other things is learn to draw women well, face and body. I've always just drawn male characters, which I guess is pretty narrow thinking on my behalf. On the odd occasions that I have had to draw women, theyve always looked really cave-manish or like ugly cosplayers with long hair.
So I am going to go to this life drawing class, where you don't draw nudes, but women in burlesque costumes or other crazy things and that sounds more interesting than the ones I had to draw in high school. It's called Dr Sketchy's anti art school, so it'll be pretty good.

Yeah man, still doin that full time in Carlisle. Already half way through the diploma which is good. Might be able to get a traineeship job at the end of the year, meaning a company will pay me to go to tafe for another year to get my advanced diploma and I'll work for them part time on the side.
